So I'm heading to Morocco next month on my own and really want to make it out to the Sahara, but I'm a bit nervous about going alone or trying to coordinate drivers and stuff by myself. I've been looking into those group options where you join a minibus with other travelers because it seems like the most straightforward way to meet people and not have to figure out all the logistics. Does anyone have experience with a shared 3 days desert tour from marrakech? I'm curious about the group dynamics, like is it mostly younger backpackers or a mix, and do you actually get time to explore places like the Todra Gorges on your own or is it very much follow the guide the whole time? I'm pretty easygoing and don't mind a packed itinerary, just hoping to get a feel for whether these tours feel rushed or if there's room to breathe and take photos without holding everyone up.
Traveling solo and wondering about group tours to the desert
